Tips

For Intermediate Learners:
Intermediate learners often face the challenge of speaking spontaneously in French. While you may have a solid grasp of vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure, expressing your thoughts on the spot can still be difficult.
One effective strategy is to avoid overthinking—just speak, even if you make mistakes. Don’t let the fear of making errors hold you back. Additionally, immerse yourself in the French language by regularly listening to French music, watching French TV series, tuning into French radio, and exploring podcasts. Consistency is key—try to listen every day, even if it’s just in the background while driving, cooking, walking, or before going to sleep. This daily exposure makes a significant difference.

For Beginners:
Establishing a strong foundation is essential when learning French. Take your time at this stage— a solid base will make advanced topics much more manageable. Focus on understanding sentence structure, mastering verb conjugations, and practicing proper pronunciation. Incorporating writing exercises and reading them aloud as you complete them can greatly enhance your learning.

Ali is a fantastic French teacher. His lessons were diverse, thorough, well-prepared, and intertwined together in a way that made learning easy. Ali is patient, kind, and accommodating to differing levels of skill. He is clearly fluent in both English and French, and his style of teaching is very helpful. He would regularly modify lessons to ensure several different elements of French are being learned at the same time, and would regularly review previous lessons while building upon them each time. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn French or improve their French skills!

Ali’s approach to facilitating online French tutoring is fantastic. He quickly created an environment that allowed participants to feel comfortable and willing to contribute to the discussion, and share in the enjoyment of learning a new language. Ali’s ability to simplify the explanation of language rules and concepts provided students with an easy route to learning and applying grammatical structure. As a facilitator, Ali’s patience allowed students the necessary time to practice, while providing constructive and actionable feedback. After each lesson, I left the class feeling that I had a good understand of the material, and was equipped with the tools necessary to continue practicing it on my own.

Completing this course, I feel more confident not only in the material covered, but in my future ability to continue learning French. Ali provided our class with an excellent foundation to build from as we move forward with our learning. I would highly recommend Ali as a French instructor, and hope I have the opportunity in the future to participate in another course with him.
